Composed and arranged by Adam Miller, the music on this album was created for MARS (a play about mining), a collaboration with director Jeremy Pickard and choreographer Adam H. Weinert. MARS (a play about mining) is a dance-theater performance inspired by the history of Appalachian coal mining and adapted from a graphic novel by Tom Coiner with art by Kristy Caldwell. It was first produced by Superhero Clubhouse and Matchboxarts in March 2013 at Center for Performance Research in Brooklyn. For more information, please visit www.superheroclubhouse.org/MARS.
